New Year cometh...

With just 2 days left of 2005, we ventured into the cold winter to our favourite haunt, Sunderland Point (details of the place on our website in the Lancashire section!)

See Photo Right! What an atmospheric place at the best of times but with the seasonal weather adding to the atmosphere it was a superb couple of hours spent in the wilds of Lancashire.

Merry Christmas 2005!

Merry Christmas! What a superb Christmas this has been so far, only the 3rd day but it's a real winner this year. And its even trying to snow :-) not very succesfully so far but it is trying.

Christmas day was spent with my sister and her kids, Driving through the Lake District was very relaxing and fitting.

Always Winter but never Christmas.....

WOW! The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe - a truly wonderful film version of a beloved book. I always loved the 1988 BBC adaptation of the book but the film was even better... and THAT is saying something. It was the shortest 2 and a bit hours of a film ever. Superb effects and acting, The Beevers were something else. A truly wonderful film roll on the DVD release.

Brokeback Mountain is next on the list......

Demolition not restoration!

A superb programme on Channel 4 is looking at 12 buildings in the UK that deserve to be demolished. All good contenders... as they are all horrendous.

The final is on 20th Dec on Channel 4.

Films, Tribes and Christmas

Just had an email from Empire Magazine and decided for the first time in months to find out about some new films. Brokeback Mountain sounds superb - we will have to go to the cinema to see that.. but not until after we have seen The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.... maybe Christmas eve :-)

Have you ever tried an online community? My favourite at the minute is tribe.net some really great interesting people on there http://london.tribe.net/

My website has been updated with a new festive look ;-)
